salwar, bangals, and shoes: from india, earrings: urban outfitters, ring: margaret ellis

i went to a casual indian wedding last weekend and i thought it’d be fun to snap a few shots of my salwar! this is a vintage one that my mom shortened when she went to india last month and i love all the beautiful embroidery. i think i might even wear the top part as a dress during the summer!

how’s everyone’s holiday going? i’m soooo excited for christmas – it’s one of my favorite holidays of the year :)

skirt: armani, tunic: saachi by inthings, earrings & bracelet: borrowed, shoes: miss me

short, flouncy skirts capture a special place in my heart. i have them in plaids, solids, metallics – you name it, i love it. i wore this champagne one with another fun tunic and my new orange shoes!

oh, and for those of you that don’t know: i LOVE to bake! i made some strawberry champagne cupcakes with champagne buttercream today (you can check out the recipe HERE) and snapped a pic for you guys:

nashville is buzzing with the cma fest & bonnaroo, so the weekend should be fun! do you all have anything fun planned?

skirt/scarf worn as dress: indian vintage, bracelet: heavy metal by lw, earrings: banana republic

many indian outfits come with a dress, scarf, and top, so i decided to experiment: i wore the skirt as a tube dress and then wrapped around a scarf to create a one shoulder dress (totally loving the 80s vibe of this fabric with the bold colors and sequins). i was excited to wear this fabulous bracelet with it because it was custom designed for me by lauren weiner! she is SO amazing – you all have to check out her beautiful pieces HERE.

also, because of the influx of cicadas in tennessee (ew!) – i’ve been having to experiment with in door photo shoots! the cicadas are literally everywhere!

robe: indian vintage, pants: blank, shoes: shi, belt: vintage, earrings: topshop, nail polish: mac’s plasma blu

this vintage robe has always been one of my favorite pieces from my mom’s closet – even as a little girl, i used to admire the architectural silk print and beautiful green color. i paired it with my coveted pink/purple vintage belt that i scored at an amazing local vintage vendor sale and some larger than life topshop earrings (they are really heavy, but come on – totally worth it!).

btw! it’s nashville fashion week next week and i’m particularly excited about seeing christian siriano’s collection and hearing kelly cutrone speak! for those of you in town, i’m speaking at a panel on Thursday March 31st – for more details on the event you can click HERE.
