CB2CB6Top: Tidwell & Perryman, Sunglasses: Chilli Beans, Blazer: Vintage, Pants: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Bakers Shoes, Rings: F21 & Vintage

These gold-rimmed sunnies and this vintage button-down have been two staples in my wardrobe recently! I decided to pair them with a fun pair of sweat pants (yes! sweat pants!) and a bright blazer.  I scouted the shirt at one of my favorite places in town, Tidwell & Perryman – a shop full of impeccably scouted pieces and seriously amazing prices. Here are a few shots of the gorgeous store:

Hope you all had a fantastic holiday!

Winter White

Dress: Maggy London, Belt: French Connection, Shoes: Steve Madden, Ring: Handmade in Argentina, Earrings: Gifted

I love this little holiday dress from Maggy London, although white lace is normally more of a summer vibe, the pretty deep coral that peeks through is really fun for the holidays!  I’m a big fan of incorporating winter white looks during the cold months instead of always sticking to dark/metallic colors.

Oh, and I’m totally rocking a sock bun.  Going to post a tutorial later this week 🙂

Meeting The Sartorialist

Pants: Imogene & Willie, Top: Vintage, Shoes: Steve Madden, Belt: Banana Republic, Earrings & Cuff: Vintage, Rings: F21

The Fashion Blogger Bible: THE SARTORIALIST. We all read it, we all love it.

However, never did I think I’d actually meet the man himself, Scott Schuman.  He did a book signing at my favorite bookstore, Parnassus Books, and was every bit as kind and welcoming as I hoped he would be. I even had the chance to ask him what his favorite fashion blog was, which he responded to by coyly gushing over his girlfriend’s site (yes, his girlfriend is Garance Doré – fashion blogger extraordinaire!).

If you haven’t picked up a copy of his new book, I highly reccomend it.  Also, please consider buying it from a local bookstore in your area instead of Amazon.

Also, for those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving – I hope you had a lovely holiday!

Flouncy

Blouse: Heirloom Vintage, Shorts: Free People, Shoes: Steve Madden, Rings: House of Harlow/Vintage/F21, Timepiece: Classic Stuhrling, Earrings: Vintage, Purse: Betsey Johnson, Sunglasses: Posh Green Hills

We were lucky enough to score some seriously amazing weather this weekend in Nashville Im talking perfectly sunny skies with temperatures in the low seventies.  It was really wonderful and I took the opportunity to wear these easy, breezy Free People shorts.  Im loving all the gorgeous shades of orange this season, it was my grandfathers favorite color so I just adore it!

Hope youre all having a lovely start to the week!

these are the last set of photos from my thompson fifteen shoot – honestly i wish i could just cover my whole blog in clothes from the site! i think i’m a little obsessed. oh well.
i love these shots because i look a lot like my mom.  both of my parents are in india right now visiting family so i really miss them!  anyways, hope you’re all having a fabulous weekend – i went to my first haunted house last night! it was pretty spooooooky.

cut it out.

dress: thompson fifteen, ring: house of harlow, shoes: jeffrey campbell, bracelets & earrings: vintage
a few years ago i probably would have never worn a cut out dress, but the older i get (i’m 24), the more confident i get with my body! that’s something i’m proud to say and i think it’s important to wear things that make you feel strong & sexy.  this dress was definitely one of those pieces for me – i love the dramatic length and fantastic sides! it’s another look from the thompson fifteen shoot and i was so glad the owner of the site, chelsea, brought it for me to wear that day.
btw – what’s everyone going to be for halloween? i need some ideas!

so today’s post is about two of my favorite warhols: andy & chancellor.  many of you know who andy warhol is, but i’d like to introduce you to my friend chancellor warhol who has an amazing new album called the silver factory dropping today (you might remember when i featured his clothing line HERE). he recently performed at bonnaroo and will be playing at austin city limits & soundland in the next few weeks!
be sure to CHECK OUT THE ALBUM HERE:
just so you know, my favorite tracks are “elvis” and “kings and queens”. if you have a chance to check it out be sure to let me know your favorites as well!

under my umbrella.

maxi: ny&co, sweater: henry cottons, clutch: indian, earrings & belt: vintage, shoes: bcbg, umbrella: dkny
it randomly dropped 30 degrees in nashville today (the high was 65!) and so i decided to rummage through my fall wardrobe. it was a rainy labor day, but i still had an amazing time brunching, shopping, and spending time with some of my favorite people.
i received this umbrella as a free gift at a nordstrom event i went to recently and i must say – i’m kind of in love with it. even when it wasn’t raining i was using it as a pointing device (which got on my family’s nerves very quickly).  oh well, i thought it was funny!
hope you all had a lovely & relaxing long weekend!

peek-a-boo.

lace skirt: vintage, shirt dress: pinkyotto, necklace: valentine valentine, belt: banana republic, shoes: christian louboutin
so…i got a new do! the color i have is just the purple part (the blue was temporary from a photo shoot earlier today).  i’ve never tried anything besides neutral hair tones, so i’m pretty excited for my new fall look 🙂
also i’m totally obsessed with this vintage lace skirt – lace is definitely one my favorite trends this season!
what are you guys most excited for this fall?
