PASTEL COLLAR

Necklace & Stacked Rings: Clothed In Scarlet, Skirt: Urban Outfitters, Tank: Target, Denim Shirt: Akira, Sunglasses: Aldo

Obsessed with collar necklaces these days and I love the feminine touch this one adds to the outfit. Ive been into pairing tougher fabrics with lighter accessories, so I love how the leather skirt juxtaposes the delicate rings & necklace!

What have you guys been up to?? Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!

MALIBU PERFECTION

High-Waisted Bikini Bottom: Urban Outfitters, Bathing suit top: Target, Arrow Ring: Bianca Milov, Gold Rings: Clothed In Scarlet, Sunglasses: Aldo

This weekend was all about enjoying this beach in Malibu. All I did was spend quality time with my friends and get a beautiful tan. Living in California is truly amazing, so I’m very grateful for being able to spend my weekends doing such pleasurable things! Besides, after the recent pool resurfacing job, I’ve been able to spend a lot of time by the pool, in the water or under the umbrella, sipping cocktails and reading magazines.

I have to say I’m very excited about my newest high-waist bikini. I think this vintage look suits me. It is a lovely mix between modern and vintage, the colors are nothing short of amazing, and the material is fast-drying and pleasant to the touch.

I do hope you all had a nice weekend! Have I already told you how much I love my new bikini?

DRAGON PARK

Photography: Will Vastine, Tee: DCXV, Jacket: New York & Co., Shorts: Vintage Levis, Shoes: Bordello, Earrings: F21, Rings & Bracelet: Vintage

Heres another DCXV tee that I love! I paired it with my go-to shorts & leather jacket and topped off the whole look with these red polka dotted pumps I rarely wear these shoes anymore, but felt inspired to rock them. Theyre uncomfortable (which is rare in my shoe collection, usually thats my top priority!), but they photograph so well!

For those of you that are curious, Im loving LA so far! Wondering if anyone knows about blog meet ups in the area? I would love to meet some LA bloggers!

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend!

Tee: DCXV, Belt: French Connection, Skirt: Oshi, Bracelet: Gifted

That’s right folks, my first GIF! My next few posts are going to be a fun series I shot with the amazingly talented Will Vastine and will feature clothing from one of my favorite Nashville brands, DCXV. Have you guys seen the “I Believe in Nashville” murals around town (for you out of towners, you might remember it from this post)? My friend Adrien Saporiti (owner of DCXV) created that mural and has expanded to a clothing line. This tee is is one of my favorites – what can I say? I’m a sucker for a soft gray tee shirt and pretty much anything with french writing on it. He also started a kickstarter campaign to expand his company – be sure to support if you can!

Also, can I just say, these confetti photos might be some of my most favorite blog photos ever – and that’s saying something, considering I’ve been in the game since 2008!

Saturday Market

Jeans: Imogene & Willie, Jacket: French Connection (here’s a similar one), Shirt: Vintage (you can find one similar here), Ring & Earrings: Margaret Ellis, Belt: American Apparel, Shoes: Lucky Brand (here’s a similar pair)

The weather in Nashville has been absolutely wonderful, so I decided to hop on over to the Franklin Farmers Market with my family on Saturday! From farm fresh produce to fun jewelry, this place was the perfect day to spend a weekend morning. My personal favorites were The Biscuit Love Truck, Baya Designs, and Dozen Bakery. Juice Nashville also sells their product there, but they were sold out so I couldn’t get a photo or a juice (bummer!) – however, they are opening up a new store in the Gulch, so be sure to donate to their kickstarter if you want more juice!

Oh! I also added a few more features on the blog – you can now just hover over an image to pin it, “like” or “retweet” a post at the bottom of each one, and comment with disqus! Let me know if you have any issues, I’m still sorting out getting all of my old comments back on the blog.

How was your weekend?

The Trunk + A little Pop

I had such a fabulous time at The Trunk’s fabulous relaunch last weekend! They had the event at Lucy Pop Salon, who rolled out the red carpet and treated all of us to fabulous blow outs and some amazing Pretty Pretty Pop Pop swag. For those of you that don’t know, The Trunk is Nashville’s first mobile fashion truck and it’s owned by rockstar stylist, Abby Franklin. When I say rockstar, I mean it – her client roster includes Michael Jackson, Prince, Bon Jovi, and Madonna to name a few!

I absolutely love how Abby revamped The Trunk by curating it to include some amazing (and affordable!) women’s pieces, a great collection of menswear, and jewels that will blow your mind! To find out when they’ll be in your neighborhood, be sure to follow them on twitter @TheTrunkNash!

Jacket: Vintage, Jeans: 7 For All Mankind, Earrings, Vivienne Kelly, Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell, Socks: Urban Outfitters, Tee: Express, Rings: Margaret Ellis/House of Harlow/F21

Tried a retro do yesterday – thank god my hair is finally getting long enough to start styling it new ways (although, this development has me spending WAY too much time on YouTube hair tutorials!). I paired it with this fantastic jacket I got in 5th grade for a dance/singing recital – I found it the other day when I was cleaning out my closet, score! Topped off the whole look with these awesome hand-painted Vivienne Kelly earrings – I’m totally obsessed with triangles right now, so I just let them feed my addiction…

What are you guys up to this weekend? I’m helping my brother out with his supper club for most of the weekend, but am going to try to soak up some of the warm weather we have coming our way as well!

NASHVILLE, MY HEART

Photography: Will Vastine, Jacket: DCXV, Shorts: Vintage Levis

There are very few places I love more than my hometown. Nashville is full of love, community, memories, and most importantly, my dearest friends and family. Its a place Ive lived for 20 years (considering Im 26, thats a looooong time!), and although I absolutely love it, its time for a change. Im always up for a new, exciting adventure and Ive decided to head out to Los Angeles, California! It could be a few months, it could be a few years, it could be a decade.  Who knows? Its time to do a little exploring, sing a few songs, style a few folks, and meet some fabulous people along the way.

How soon? Well, Im already on the road with my big brother for my very first loooooong road trip (2,000 miles!). I love that this blog has been with me through Boston, Miami, Nashville, and now LA!! Heres to many future beach blog posts 🙂

Nashville, I LOVE YOU.
