i get emails and comments asking what beauty products i use, so i thought i’d share my beauty picks!

1) makeup
i am a self-proclaimed MAC addict.  it was hard for me to find foundations/powders that matched my skin tone and i finally found the perfect match at MAC.  from there i ended up loving pretty much everything else!  for a casual everyday look i use studio tech, powder, blush, mascara, and a little gloss.  i didn’t picture all of my lip products as most of them are floating around in my handbags!

2) skin
for skin products i love aveeno.  their products are affordable and you can buy them at any drug store!

3) hair
i spent most of my teenage years trying to tame my curls and finally found that chi products work best for me.  i also love using chi heating tools – their blow dryers, flat irons, and curling irons are the best!

4) nails
in college i quickly found out that a $40 bi-weekly mani/pedi was out of my budget, so i learned how to do my own nails.  to this day i always do my own nails and try to keep them short, manicured, and painted.  clearly i have an obsession with opi polishes:

    I am definitely a MAC fan too. I can't go more than a few days without the BlackTrack paint pot liner!!

    + as much as I love OPI, I am about to have an affair with the brand Illamasqua for their Jo'mina color polish (it's an electric lilac) – I just ordered it online from Sephora last night. I here the color is quite bold + amazing in person! Have a look-see here:

    Love OPI. As for makeup I'm a fan of anything by Tarte. I love their cheek stains. I use them everyday not only on my cheeks but on my lips and eyes as well.

    I just got into the MAC craze. I still am a a firm-Estee Lauder skin care/eyeliner believer, but MAC is amazinggg for eye shadows and such! And I am right there with you on the CHI products. I onlyyy use CHI when I straighten my hair (which is very rare these days). I'm embracing my natural curls! OPI is definitely my favorite nail polish! We seem to be on the same page with our beauty routines, haha!

    i recently discovered mac and i am a huge fan. the lipstick is a beauty treat for your lips and it stays on forever. i don't use opi nail polish.

    I'm a MAC fan, too. A few years ago I bought two palettes. One for blushes & one for eyeshadows. Best thing I ever did. They're so sleek.

    I am a MAC addict too!!! A freak I'd say!! I can't live without their mascara, powders, blushes, eyeshadows and brushes (LOL almost anything)

    But I prefer Essie to OPI ;-)

    I am an Aveeno girl too. I love that stuff, it moistures your skin and it has no fragrance to it. I hate lotions with fragrance.

    I need to get me some Mac..it is so popular.

    Mac does have great makeup BUT it can be a bit drying for my skin…I still live by their eyeshadows..but for foundation and blush I use Arbonne products.You have quite a collection of mac my dear.

    My name is Lynn and I am addicted to MAC, too! It's really an addiction with positive results. No drug store makeup can compare to MAC.
    I am going to try the Aveeno cleanser, great suggestion. I am so obsessed with my skin. Currently, I am using an African Black soap, it works well but its a little drying at times. Thanks for the info!

    Thank you for sharing Zarna! I must have MAC Studio Fix powder (I can't leave the house without it). I have to have Q-tips, Loreal Futur-e moisturizer for my face, Cetaphil face wash, Maybelline great lash in the pink and green bottle, lipstick (serves several purposes..lips, eyes and cheeks) and dental floss!! lol Kiah

    Goodness! First off, I don't have any makeup products besides eyeliner and lip gloss.

    I don't do my own nails, though, I have a collection of polish.

    For my hair, I make my own mixture of oils. Olive, coconut and almond. I also use pomade from time to time :)

    Mac is a staple! You can never get enough Mac stuff. As far as skin care is concerned I tend to stick to Clinique really. Hair has to be Kérastase and nails are Nails Inc, OPI, Essie or whatever really… I'm not too fussy about them. Love your must-haves though!

    OPI is THE BOSS of nail polish. I love IMAN foundations and powder. They seem to be the ONLY brand that PERFECTLY matches my skin tone. If I put it on one side of my face, you'd just think that the other side is spottier. lol.

    I just love walking past MAC counters all the colors THRILL me!!

    I have those same masacaras! I got the pink one free at Fashion Week in February and then the Green/Pink one is a makeup staple I feel.

    I also have the Aveeno Sunscreen and facewash. I like Aveeno!

    I'm a combo of MAC, NARS and Revlon products. I use Neutrogena cleansing products and Oil of Olay moisturizers. I also do my own nails well my tosies that is. i can't seem to get my hands to last very long. Suggestions?

    I discovered MAC products when they released the Disney Venemous Villians range, I instantly fell in love with their lipsticks! Did you know they were Vanilla scented?     I can't live without YSL Touche Eclat (although I sometimes try other eluminizers from different brands), mascara (at the moment I'm back to my first love MaxMara) and lipstick (I'm experimenting with different shades & brands). As for skin & hair products – I switch between products/brands all the time.
